The area of operation is located within a portion of Region 6 of the Upper Snake Region in Unit 67 beginning at Hwy 31, between Swan Valley & Victor, ID and extending its hunting boundaries to the northwest within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. This area is home to all of Idaho’s big game animals, including elk, mule deer, moose, bear & mountain lion. The landscape is complete with deep canyons & rolling hills providing bedding areas, feeding areas and spring water to nourish its inhabitants. Summer opportunities include, horseback trips, incidental fishing & wagon rides. The permit also allows for additional use of horseback trips in the Pritchard Creek drainage in unit 66 and the ability to request for special use should your hunter draw a tag outside the designated unit of operation.
